I did a search but couldn't find anything on this light. Does anybody recognize it and/or has anybody used one? For el cheapo I thought it might serve as an emergency backup or perhaps a helmet mount light.

I'm not familiar with it but looking at it, it might not really be 3W.

I don't think it's 3w in use, but if you can remove the holder piece from the flashlight, it might be worth it just for that Mawri knock-off looking mount. Get one and let us know how that mount is.

i've never used that before. however, i do have a 100-led flashlight from them. that mother is bright!!! i'd be tempted to put it on my bike if i didn't already have a princeton tec yukon on my nite rides.

i have a pair. they are okay (compared to regular LED flashers they are great). had some trouble with the mount not holding the light tight enough but that problem somehow went away and never occurred again. the battery holder rattles a bit inside the body of the light, so i had to stuff paper wedges so prevent this (otherwise, over rough road or potholes the battery holder loses contact with the switch and/or emitter and the light cuts out). i don't think they are 3w (similar lights on dealextreme show they are 1w, with about 30-40 lumens). it's a pretty good light for the price, and way better than the typical low end led flashers that you see in most bike shops. my only complaint is the battery life could be better (on fresh batts, they start off bright but after 1-2 hours i think i notice the beam getting slightly dimmer, but the light doesn't cut out completely for many hours, so it's a slow, gradual decline in beam output). better invest in some rechargeables and a good bulk charger if you do get the light. you can find comparable brighter CREE flashlights for not much more, but i would recommend this light to folks wanting a beginner light.
