I had the PB SuperFlash and it lasted about 8 months before it broke which was about 8 years shorter then my previous tail light which is still working the Cateye LD600. But in interest of seeking a brighter tailight I bought the Mars 4.0; this light is far superior to the Superflash because it's not only brighter to the rear but far brighter when viewed off dead center and sides; but reliability is still in question because I've only had it for about 4 months.

I currently run the Mars 4 on the seat post and 2 Cateye LD600's, one on each stay, along with barend lights. The only ones that I have on flash are the barends to save the little button batteries life.

Way more than you want to spend, but what I use for my tail light. It is based on my 500l design for size purposes.

normal tail light (superflash)

My blinkie

Both at about 100 feet.

Huh? The picture sucks, you got 5 different "lit" objects in each pic and both pics look the same except the 5th object (counting from top left to bottom right) appears to be a bit wider in the second pic, the 4th object appears wider in the first pic...anyway the photos are just plain wierd showing us absolutely nothing of importance.
