Any loudspeaker/power amp combo that you can mount and that can produce decent quality and volume with a 6 v 0.5 amp power source should work out. I once searched for some to make a rolling public address system for batteries rather than dynamo. Not easy to find. But it all depends on how far from the speaker you need the music or speech to be intelligible. That distance equates to power. So, speaker and amplifier efficiency are critical.
I finally concluded I'd have to design my own power amps, to mate with a miniature 2-way Klipsch indoor/outdoor speaker. I didn't go that far, since the "customer" didn't have any money.

"necessary" being a relative term? Apparently they're speaking a different English than I am, because I've been riding without a "necessity" for 20,000 miles now.

Add in a B&M E-WERK and you'd be able to charge it on the go from your dynohub... though it'd cost a small fortune.
