Here's my lights setup

It's a pair of the Costco tactical lights, three AAA batteries in each. One pointed forward for illumnation, one pointed down and strobing to alert drivers to my position.

What do you think?

$15 for the flashlights, another $15 for the mounts, and a million dollars for batteries unless I can find a six slot charger for triple A's. Actually a twelve slot charger for triple a's. One set for on the way out, another set for coming back home.

I bought the same lights. My mounts were 3 bucks on Ebay. The 48 pack of Kirkland Signature batteries for 11 bucks @ Costco is good enough. You get 3 hours on strobe for the three batteries. Which equates to one hour per battery.

Best value lights, ever. That includes MagicShine.

BTW:

Only 10 usable slots, but most rechargeable come with a charger anyways...should be good for the rest of your needs.

I have seen these skinny flashlights but I wonder if they also sell the mounts. You mentioned e bay and the only one I saw on e bay is for the large diameter flashlights. You got a pic of those you purchased to post here and share. Thanks.

Trust me... they have a great grip on the costco flashlights... even upside-down:

Thanks CyciumX, went ahead and placed an order for 3. I'm excited to receive them since summer is approaching, I'll be doing more night rides to avoid the heat.

I see you got them... they will do you fine! They are easy to swap to other bikes as well.

Here is a better pic taken by a friend during the SJ Bike Party Last Friday here in San Jose:

I may be late to this thread but I would recommend rear facing red strobes. I have 2. one on my rear rack and one on my left drop bar
