Need helmet headlight setup
My helmet died, and I would like my next one to accommodate a Planet Bike Superflash headlight on top and a Superflash blinky taillight on the back. This is for touring purposes, not MTB night riding. Has anyone seen a helmet in this ball park? MTB helmets are acceptable. Thanks

Current model of Bell/Giro Citi has mount for rear light; note where light aims.
The current Bell/Giro helmet has a mounting strap for a rear light (a few years ago this model did not have the strap). Do note that unless you mount a really broad-beamed, bright light or a self-leveling one, a helmet mounted rear light may not always direct the beam level and backward where you want it to go.
Recent review of Citi helmet.

One self-leveling light is the Planet Bike Blinky 3-H which supplies its own helmet mounting including strap:

However, it is not as bright (and may not have as good a flash pattern) as their Superflash model.
Undoubtedly, there are other helmet models that come with straps and you may be able to make your own mount.

+1 on the Bell Citi. The Bell Metro or Metropolis also has been a great helmet for me. In my case I use the planet bike supper flash on it's back and a Princeton tec EOS head lamp on it's front.

I fasten a Fenix LD2 to my helmet with heavy-weight rubber bands or bits cut from old inner tubes. The light fights comfortably in the ventilation slots on top of the helmet. You can mount a PB superflash (or pretty much any clip-on blinkie) to your helmet with a zip tie. . .you don't need special mounts.

h.bicycletus. Does Fenix offer there lights only from on line suppliers? Or are there any retailers that offer the light? I guess I like to touch before buying, but it does seem like a good light to have on my helmet.

I've only seen them online. The light I have is about the size of a 2-cell AA battery mini-mag light but it has several light modes- - -multiple power and flash settings. I do find helmet lights troublesome in mist and rain- - -the light tends to create white-outs and actually obscure my vision, but when it's dry I like having a light I can point at stuff without changing my bike direction.
