Sigma BC 906 computer - resetting due to heat?

Just what thet title says....several times my Sigma BC 906 (simple bike computer) has reset itself. Common denominator seems to be it happens when I leave it outside on very hot days, or in a hot van.

Anyone else ever have this experience with a bike computer? I try to take it off and take it inside, but I forgot today and came out and found it reset. At least I looked at my total Odo yesterday so I know how many miles to put on it.

I have 2 of those 906s and have not had any problems - but we seldom have extreme heat here. Have you checked the condition and cleanliness of the battery and compartment contacts?

No, but I will. This particular one is pretty old - I got it with the bike which i bough used on CL. It hadn't been used much, but was sitting in someone's spare room for a couple years. I have three others on family bikes and so far none of those have reset, but also prob havent' been in the same conditions. I bet you're right though...thanks.
