Cygolite Charge Indicator

Hi all. I have a Cygolite Pace 310 headlight. It has a charge indicator on top that has three small red lights that are supposed to go from three to two to one light as the available battery power diminishes. However, tonight on my way home from work with all three red lights on, the headlight flashed for a few seconds and went out. Has anyone else experienced this on similar lights? My Magicshine (for which I'm still awaiting the replacement battery) at least would turn amber before shutting off soon thereafter. It's none too cool to have your main light extinguish itself in the dark of night without warning!

Do yourself a favor and just call Cygolite in Santa Ana, CA. Most of the time the engineer is there.

I emailed Cygolite and they sent me a .pdf of the manual. I had misremembered what was in that manual. The three red lights indicate the brightness level at which you've set the light, high, medium or low, not the battery charge. Only the low light indicates battery level by flashing at different intervals as the battery charge decreases. I don't remember it flashing but maybe I didn't notice. At any rate, I charged the battery and now all is working fine. I experimented with the different brightness levels tonight and they work as the manual states. Thanks for the replies!
