rebuilding battery packs

Does anyone know if it is possible to rebuild a cordless drill battery pack?
Are there any companies out there that you can send it to for repairs?
I know this is not bike related, but a battery pack is a battery pack.

yes and yes. Had a 12V Makita NICAD drill battery rebuilt for $35....just search the internet
