Schwinn Cyclocomputer?
Having to pull my phone out of my pocket to check the time got pretty dangerous at some points during my ride. I got a Schwinn for 20 bucks at KMart, and I tried it out, but the computer was getting nothing. I don't know if it's just cheap (if I should return it) or if I did something wrong. So let me explain my set-up.
I have the transistor on the front forks, and the magnet on a spoke crossing the transistor. Then I just put the computer on the left handlebar, but got no response. Would there be something else, like a little trick to make it work, or should I just return it and forget about the cyclocomputer?
Thanks.

Take the magnet in hand and touch it right to the pickup, once a second. If it doesn't register anything, take it back and get it replaced (after making sure that the wires are properly connected, etc)
