That is the 4-watt maximum output in the quad-flash mode (it has other flash patterns available too). For reference, the other lights are a Planet Bike BRT-5 just below the RZ4, a Hotshot on the seatpost, and the Bontrager Flare bar-tip lights.
Anyway, it's not cheap at $100 but looks like good quality. If you need a self-contained high-output light that doesn't need to be aimed precisely (like, clipped to a seatbag loop or mounted on your helmet), this has potential.

Yeah, I picked one of these up a while back and have been quite impressed with the build quality and brightness. Agree about no need to aim it pretty much at all; I keep it clipped onto my messenger bag and can tell (in my mirror) that it is really lighting things up behind me.

@mech - compared to your other lights, where does this get used? what are it's strengths and weaknesses?
FWIW, i've got a hotshot being sent back for repair so i'm currently running a PBSF-turbo and a PDW danger-zone on the rear. i've also got a couple of radbot-1000s, etc but they're not getting much use. i like the hotshot, but the beam pattern is too tight. i was thinking about a moon shield (also branded as a serfas TL-60) because it's about as bright as the hotshot but, from what i can tell without having one, has better "spill". looks like the red-zone craps all over everything in terms of spill... how about straight-on?

@mech - also, how does the RZ4 compare to the dinotte 300r? i'm talking tech specs like light output on and off-axis, charge times, mounting, etc... also how do motorists behave around them?
if you can do comparison beam-shots like your 300r thread that would be super awesome.
thanks...
