Hi guys on my bike I am going to be running a set of rechargable light as flashers but only to be seen was thinking a blackburn recargable set would be fine only Ģ40
BUT I also want some serious light power out the front and was thinking a head torch would be the way to go.
Can you recomend me something?
I have been looking at a LedLenser H14 but its a bit pricey and I already have a P14 Flashlight.
so can you pleas recommend me something that is the same price or less and is:
1) Rechargeable not AA Powered!
2) Fairly Water proof aka I could ride it in a shower!
3) I really like LEDS but other tech would be fine but LED is prefered!
4) At least as bright as a P14 200 Lumen flashlight but brighter would be much prefered!
Thanks guys.

and there are only LED lights at this point, nothing else comes close.

You can get helmet mounts on ebay for Magicshine's if they work for you. (They're a bit bigger than a bullet style torch - so do look a bit dorky. They are pretty bright though.) . I mount my battery pack on the shoulder strap of my camelbak, but extension leads are available too. You could carry the battery pack in a jersey back pocket.
The price of a Magicshine varies tremendously depending on where you get it.
---
For other alternatives the more criteria you mention, the fewer options there are - as I'm sure you know. I'd consider dropping the AA one - you could get a couple of sets of AA rechargables, switching from one to the other immediately - rather than having to wait for built in cells to recharge.

I bought a used Magicshine from another fourm member and love it. Bit over your 40 pound price range, but a nice light for the money.

I bought one of the $39 "1600 lumen" magicshine clones from eBay. It works just fine. The downside is that the battery is NOT waterproof, so put it in something waterproof. I just put mine in my waterproof panniers. When I'm not riding with them, I just put it in a plastic bag with the opening towards the bottom; works fine..
I added a lens to improve the beam pattern.
The light is even cheaper now:

One can get the Cygolite Metro 420 for not too much money. It's waterproof, USB charged, and plenty bright.

I use the Cygolite Expilion 600 in low power mode, but the 420 would work just as well.

I bought the NiteRider MiNewt 600(https://www.google.com/webhp?source=...w=1600&bih=799)
The link is the Google search I did for you, so you would not have to find the links, yourself. Because the company is not making that model anymore.
It uses a Re-Chargeable Li-Ion battery, that you can hook up to a USB cable connected to your computer.
It is extremely bright. To the point that, even at the lowest(there are three) setting, I still get oncoming motorists(no I am not riding 'ninja-style') honking at me about, how bright it is.
As for waterproof, for heavens' sake why are you riding in rain?

Thanks guys some really good suggestions, some of the lezyen lights don't look to NAD actually and are brighter than the head torch I was looking St and I upped my budget and think I would quite like a micro lezyen on the back and a lezyen super XL on the front as that's gonna last me for a long time....
But then o just realised its getting lighter now and its still light when I finish I work XD so might put of buying a set until next winter TBH but at least I know what to look for now! I might still get some cheap flashers as it can be a bit dark on country lanes but only a cheap set.

I just bought a second UltraFire WF-501B set from eBay for $20, light, 2 LiIon batteries and charger. A strip of velcro and I've got a very good helmet light.
I've had my first 501B for about 2 years now and it's been totally fine. I've used it as a back-up bar mounted light but I just bought a road bike and wanted to keep the bike light, so I just bought another and velcro'd it to my helmet.
The new one seems to have a few improvements in it. The machining is still marginal but OK, but they've improved the battery contacts. This light is IMO unbeatable for the money. Totally waterproof, decent runtime when on low or medium (which are still plenty bright for everything but really bad roads or faster descents)
