Map My Ride to Garmin Edge

Has anyone successfully uploaded a course from Mapmyride to their Edge 500? I have followed directions on mapmyride and it does not work. I create my own courses on Garmin Connect and they upload fine. I am getting tired of redrawing courses on Garmin Connect to get it to my Edge 500.

Thanks

Shouldn't be different from Ride with GPS instructions for Garmin edge 500:

to start, export a GPX Track (no cuesheeet or turn directions) or a TCX (custom cues) to your local computer. Plug in the GPS unit and open the folder to view the contents. It will have a Garmin directory, which you should open up. Inside the Garmin directory, there will be several folders/files.
One of these should be “NewFiles”. If it doesn’t exist, you’ll need to create it by right-clicking and selecting “new folder” or something similar (depending on your computer). Make sure you get the capital.
Once the folder is created or if it already exists, drag the exported file you saved from our site, to the “NewFiles” folder.
Now, safely remove the device (like you would a USB flash drive, by clicking the ‘remove device’ or ‘stop device’ icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen. again, this is operating system dependent).
Unplug the device, turn it on and head to the Courses menu item. Your file should be in there.

Yep. I use RWGPS and export TCX courses to the 500. I have not used GPX tracks with the 500, but have with other Garmin Edge devices and they worked fine. I have had issues with MapMyRide GPX tracks having way too many track points. For these, I use TCX converter to limit the trackpoints to something more reasonable, like 2000 or under, and the GPX track files then works fine.

That is procedure that I am using and course is never there. If it works for you I must be doing something wrong. I will try again. Last resort I will keep redrawing in Garmin Connect and upload from there.

THanks
