Charging a Garmin Forerunner 410 on long rides?

I need a recommendation for a AA ( or other) charger to keep my Forerunner 410 running for as long as a 600k brevet. As is, i get about 7-8 hours. On the bike, I'm curious about heart rate but I kinda need to know mileage to follow the cue sheet. Weatherproof would be nice and if anyone has an idea to keep the charging cradle on the watch while the watch is on my handlebars, thanks.
