Cheapest place to buy Bikes in Europe (Scandinavia / Estonia to Poland)
Hello,
Just signed up to the forum and would like some advice from European or well traveled members.
My girlfriend and I have just set off on a years tour of Europe in a camper van and have just passed over into Denmark. We didn't have time before we left to purchase a couple of mountain / hybrid bikes to take with us and therefore are hoping to get a couple while on the road.
Can anyone advise where in Scandinavia or on our journey south (to Greece via Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland.... but we'd like to have some by then) bikes would be the best value / cheapest?
Any other information on makes, specific stores or even websites are all gratefully received.
Kind regards,
Adam & Sophie

Why buy a bicycle, if renting is only 25 euro for a full month?
Sorry, this is a bit out of the way but in Ghent (Belgium), you can rent a decent bicyle at Max-Mobiel for a little 25 euro a month. And it's not crap!

It really depends on what quality of bike you want - it's like asking how much is a car - it depends! I've found that while a lot of things in places like Poland can be cheaper, larger ticket items are a bit closer to the European norms.
