First century in years, surprised myself.
I'm not sure why I have not done a century ride in a long time, but this year for turning 50, I thought that I was due. It's been most likely 4 years since my last one, but in those 4 years, I know that I don't have the strength that I had then. The big surprise is that today's ride ride was on my new gravel bike, which is the heaviest bike that I have done a century on, but it was my second fastest if I recall right. Another surprise is that I feel fairly fresh afterwards. My feet were and shoulders hurt some, but other then that, feeling good. If nothing else, I proved to myself that I'm not dead yet.

Well done. Congratulations. Hopefully, you had decades of century rides yet to come.
