Yup, me too. :thumb:

My next tour is Cape York to Cairns (Queensland). 1050 km+ in maybe 4 weeks. Wild camping. I will be 69 and my travelling companion is 64.

Is there a way to see your design modeled on a female? Chest logos can be tricky ;-).

Planemaker 03-04-17 07:19 PM

60+ but, I'd take a 50+ if that gets to 10.

I don't know about that. Maybe... "it never gets easier you just go slower at 60+"

Looks like things are split pretty evenly between 50's and 60's however independently both fail to meet the minimum number required to get the $52 price. So we can all get the the forum number of 50+ or we could each place an individual order at $122 per jersey.

just joining conversation. I'm in for a 50 This is a Grateful dead jersey that I got for my 50th in 2015. The Cross Canada tour was my gift to myself that year. Sorry I cannot figure out how to rotate picture.

50+ it is for me then

civic04 03-07-17 03:16 PM

Are we at a dead end with the jersey order?

Not at all! We only have the numbers to do the 50+ version. There is a three week production time as of today on the company web site.

The jersey details are located: https://www.owayo.com/us/cycling-custom-jerseys.htm
The sizing chart islocated: https://www.owayo.com/us/cycling-cus...seys/sizes.htm

Here is what we are looking at cost wise.

$52.00 Jersey Cost 10-19
$48.00 Jersey Cost 20-29

$20 Shipping from the Company

$5.00 Approx. to you in the Con US. International shipping would be at cost depending on how you would like it shipped.

So if we only meet the 10 piece minimum the cost per jersey would be $59.00.

So if you want in on the order let me know in a private message and I'll give you the payment details from there.

civic04 03-08-17 03:10 PM

Would like to order a 50+ jersey but don't have 10 posts to pm to you NABodie

I was wondering about all those people who previously ordered 50+ Jerseys. :foo:

For me, my beard is white enough, that I'll let people guess the actual age.

It was a tossup, but I decided not to go with "Whippersnapper" for my Strava ID :50:

winston63 03-10-17 12:26 PM

I decided that I won't join in this time round: in between the Canadian $ disadvantage and extra shipping costs it's a bit more than I want to spend at this time.

Best of luck with the order!

NABodie 03-10-17 12:27 PM

I sent out PM's yesterday to everyone who said they were interested in ordering. If you are interested in ordering but didn't get a PM inbox me.

cccorlew 03-11-17 11:50 AM

Good luck! After I made the first 50+ jersey, and people wanted it changed I said "Do your own!" It's cool to see someone stepping up to do it.

Hint: be really careful or you'll end up spending money on it as well doing a lot of work. Still, you'll find it's totally worth the effort the first time you see your jersey in the wild, or someone recognizes you in yours.

Looking forward to seeing photos posted.

huffman 03-15-17 07:37 PM

I'll do a 60 if still available.

gobicycling 03-15-17 10:01 PM

~80 ?

NABodie 03-16-17 04:14 AM

Unfortunately the initial support for the project seems to have splintered. At this point we will not be able to move forward with this project as there aren't enough numbers to submit an order. Thanks for you interest and ideas, maybe we can try again another time.

Rick@OCRR 03-16-17 12:56 PM

I'll have a 60+ even though it will only be good for three years before I need a 70+!

I wish everyone all the best, but I see one thing that caused the biggest problem for Curtis and me, the age to use on the graphics. We held the line at Curtis' original 50+ design and graphics because that if this forum's name. And, he chose Champion Systems for several reasons, so changing the design is not something done for free or fast.

CS has several levels of pricing for custom work/group buys/teams, the prices go down by the number of items ordered. He chose, and I stuck with the 10 item minimum level. Curtis did the first several group buys, I took on the last one, back in 2015. Every design has a set cost for review and approval, a redesign adds cost and time, hence no changing the age of the group.

The original 50+, in red with black and white accents, is well recognized pretty much world wide. I sent jerseys to Canada, eating the additional shipping cost myself, and Curtis had some European orders in his initial group buys. When he allowed me the privilege of managing the last group buy, we agreed that the original design stayed if it was to be in our projects. Its Curtis' own copyright design, so CS isn't going to just hand it over either.

One last point, this takes a lot of work and time to do, and not cost the individual doing the buy out of their own pocket. I did spend some because I promised the same shipping cost to Canada and England, that was my mistake, but I honored the promise.

The 10 item program means not just 10 jerseys, it included all of the 50+ items Curtis designed, and had cataloged at Champion Systems for our Group Buys. Short sleeve jerseys, long sleeve jerseys, sleeveless Tri jerseys, shorts, (all in either race cut, or club cut, and two levels of material temperature level) a wind vest, wind jacket (a personal favorite of mine), and a casquette (euro cycling hat.) Curtis, and with his permission, myself are the listed individuals for this account and he has the design copyright.

Hi @Bill,

If you missed it, FYA, I posted previously on this thread (I know you know Miss Kenton):

From the thread last year, "50+ the way that it used to be":…

Yes. It's the 50+ jersey. Totally suitable for 75 year olds.

I got one of the CCCorlew-designed jerseys during the 2015 group buy organized by @qcpmsame. For those who do not know. @CCCorlew is an art proffie, if he hasn't retired yet, and his design is simple but good.

This might be a good time to thank you once again for all your hard work. It is a great graphic and I wear your jersey proudly!

DGlenday 03-29-18 10:21 PM

I wonder what I'd look like in a 50 plus jersey.

Oh,wait...
<-------- like that!

bruin11 03-30-18 04:06 AM

Still can't fit mine LOL

Mainiac 03-30-18 08:50 PM

If it's not too late, a 50+, even though a 70+ is mare appropriate.
