75 PLUS Competitors-Riders
Now Strava has established 5 year age groups I see there are 15 to 20 75+ cyclists on Strava riding in Orange County, CA. I hope most areas have these groups as it pushes you to train smarter-harder. Riding with 50 - 60 year old "whippersnappers" keeps my fitness level high along with 150 to 250 mile weeks (retiring isn't so bad). I wonder how many 75+ riders are still training to high fitness levels?

Soon to be 74 and I ride with a group like you, they are youngsters and they really keep me on my toes. I am the old man in the group. being in East Tenn. there aren't many flat rides but there are lost of scenic rides. Don't do the strava thing just write the distance on my calendar and keep the yearly distance. Start over each year and normally do 5k plus miles.

Age bracketing has advantages / disadvantages. The number of 75+ cyclists just in OC is pretty amazing to me, but that's just my perspective. Just turned 50, so I expect the count in DFW to be fairly high.
