I have lived in New England since '64 when I left NJ to go play football in college. I meant "study" and play football. I can't imagine not living here. Having said that, this is the first year the weather so bummed me out that I wanted to just go somewhere else for Feb and Mar. It sucks here right now.

Corpus Christi, Texas is actually a nice place. Good roads, pretty inexpensive and not as congested as some of the other places mentioned. They have a cycling club there that is probably the slowest club I've ever ridden with haha. It's pretty bike friendly, they have a ride share program now. The beach isn't too crowded and you don't have to drive very far to find empty beaches.
Austin is a nice place if you don't want coastal winds.
