Is This The 50+ Motto?

A nice find while shopping. It’s becoming more appropriate for me every day.https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...c04df1201.jpeg

Take a break... You've had enough challenges for the year. :twitchy:

True!!!

But I'm sort of thinking of nice things ... like a 100 km ride in the countryside. :)

I think that's the Life motto.

woodcraft 12-19-18 10:33 AM

Nice sentiment,

but I immediately think how short the journey would be with no chainstays...

Actually we already have a 50+ motto. It's "Dulcius ex aspires". (Sweeter after difficulties). I know that because it's printed on the back of my 50+ jersey.

Not as classy but requires no translation: Still perspiring - not yet expired

The motto works for me. In a "driven" sort of way.

My motto:

Dudus qui permanet

caloso 12-19-18 06:41 PM

Per ardua ad victoriam. (Through difficulties to victory. I wrote that in sharpie on one of my water bottles.)

Biker395 12-19-18 06:44 PM

From Shakelford: Fortitudine Vincimus (by endurance, we conquer)

It is also the motto of the younger crowd that has their act together.

BobbyG 12-20-18 10:40 AM

"Find joy in the journey." I like it...that seems to be my general philosophy in life these days.
However, my folks sent me this a couple of years ago...(what are they trying to tell me?)

Then you will find joy in the journey.

My friends and I were young and foolish. They're deceased now, I'm still foolish.

Motto or no motto, I always feel better after a ride. That said, for me a ride isn't a great ride unless I've stopped to take a photo.

So, maybe, Self-Induced Speed Thrills.
