Appropriate cycling jerseys
Appropriate cycling jerseys. Many of our jerseys have ride based or club based themes. But there are others. I have three very appropriate jerseys:

Well duh!!!! Signed by Jens Voight. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...e5deba8af.jpeg We’ve earned it!!! |
I dig all of those. I really need to get that Plus 50 one. I've got a couple of Army themed jerseys that I've used a lot, finally wearing one of them out.
Mostly I just wear some cheap generic jerseys I bought off Amazon, though. The nice ones are reserved for group rides or events. The cheapo ones suffice for normally solo rides. |
I wore my BF 50+ jersey yesterday. :thumb:

I have a few others as well. I was a bit reluctant to wear these old Wool jerseys because I had heard they can be itchy and uncomfortable in the heat. I have since found that was not true , for me they are really comfortable. Joe joesvintageroadbikes.wordpress |

Very nice! I find the Mondia to be very comfortable , I put wide tires on mine and have done dirt/ gravel for short distances and it does quite well. A good road bike with comfortable geometry. Joe
It is also a perfect fit. Excellent paint. Mostly original. Loves to go fast. edit: wheelset as pictured is not with the Schwalbe tire, probably a VeloFlex. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7b2a96e592.jpg The heavy vest is RED the bike is burnt ORANGE https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...325b0336e1.jpg photos of vintage rider from another ForumMember |

Plain old T-shirts work for me, and are usually free or cost less than $10.
|
Wow You guys are really funny!!!!
|
Yep, I am a t-shirt rider as well. Cheap, effective, and does not follow the trends.

I take it you don't miss the rear pockets? Like for wallet, phone. snack, Gel, etc.? |

Wow, you have my favorite Jersey, until I find one that says 65!

My LBS wanted me to take a Pinarello Prince out today for a test spin. It was returned as being "unsafe" and he wanted to get my opinion. I wore this kit today, as it was most appropriate for the occasion. Jersey with matching bib shorts.

Don't have a pix but about 15 yrs ago on a Georgia century, there were several cyclists with Donner Pass jerseys
on the back of which " we eat the hindmost" was printed. My jerseys are blank with no logos of any kind and mostly from the late '90s or early '00s. Unfortunately IME jerseys rarely wear out. |

Most appropriate geezer jersey is always the last year's from your local big event ride. (STP doesn't really count).
|
No pic capacity at the moment, but I have a Specialized Aussie jersey (blue, with front and back depictions of a green grid globe). Front reads: Think globally, bike locally. On back: One less car. :thumb:

This is an appropriate non-cartoonish cycling jersey.

Mine are all pretty much simple designs (plain or perhaps with a horizontal stripe), or an event jersey ... something you have to earn by completing the ride/race. Since they really don't wear out, over the years, I have acquired a boatload of them.
