I totally agree, and echo all the encouragement in this thread. I’m doing similar with some indoor pedaling

But I would add, harking back to your original post: If you rode your bike as you first reported, then you can ride a bike.

The questions are now:

How fast?

How far?

What kind of surface, lighting, and perhaps weather?

What might you want to carry with you?

and, With what degree of comfort?

Kinda sounds like getting a new bike, doesn’t it?
