Einstein had it wrong!
I have always been interested in science. When I bike ride, I think of scientifical stuff. As a boy, I was always infatuated with the idea that if you could go the speed of light (299,792,758 miles/sec) you would return younger than when you started. I believe this theory started with Albert and his now famous E=MC2.
(you know that is supposed to be a little 2).
Well, I am here to argue that Mr. Einstein was way off base. I have been a bear to live with for the past few days with a kidney stone and colitis at the same time. Feeling a little better today and having my wife working (a nurse) and not bothering me, I decided to go for a short ride to see if everything still worked.
I left the house feeling pretty old considering the last few days. Took an easy 21 miles at probabably 15 mph and worked up a good sweat. Coming home, I was not even thinking of the last few "old" days but was relishing in the heat and the cycling. As I came to the house, I rode right into the sprinkler on the front lawn to cool off. Just like any kid would do.
So, I intend to submit a new paper concerning E=MC2. Enjoyment=Maturity x Cycling2.

Hey 'Turtle! I'll go you one more. Not only did Mr. E. get it wrong, so did the Bible. See, we NEVER got chucked outta' the garden of Eden. It's right here . . all around us. . .every day. Any problems we have we make ourselves.
By the way, is there a way to get a capital "X", for sex, in that equasion? It would really help me out with a certain [shall we say] "sales pitch" vis-a-vis maturity.

Well, not wanting to have this thread delegated to some foo forum, I'll just say I am glad we aren't in Eden. The turmoils and challenges are what strengthen us for the next stage.
As far a adding sex into the equation....it does not fit, sorry. If you had been through my three days you would understand. This has to be a serious paper. After all, I'm am rebutting 299,79,458 mph vs 15 mph. The scientific community awaits.
By the way, looking at your signature, you wouldn't have possibly done some mushrooms on a high mesa at midnight back in 1974? You look familiar.

Those "Comeback" rides can be quite surprising. Don't know if it the thought that you have been off the bike for a while so you have to take it easy- but you don't. Or whether it is the fact that you have resting a bit too long and the adrenalyn gets you.
Whatever it is- well done on proving "E" wrong. Could never get my head round his theories so to have one disproved gives me hope.
