this'll be my first week. Last week I was feeling good because my old mechanical scale said I was dropping from 186 to 177 in about 2 weeks, but now with my new Tanita Ironman (I do not use the at'alete mode) I show 184.

10/23 Week 0 184 pounds

Planning on an aerobic winter to build up my endurance. I don't think I ever did it properly.

Ken in Ann Arbor, wishing I still lived in Denver where I could go out riding on the High Line Canal ALL THE WAY TO CHRISTMAS IN A GOOD YEAR!!!

What a nice feeling to break through a weight barrier! And by staying active on the bike and other activities, we don't have to feel guilty when we sit down to enjoy that occassional slice of pie

As the cool beezes start to blow....Think this thread is a good idea....forced honesty (and comaraderie!) I guess I'll have to get back on the scale...haven't been on one in a year...been maintaining since a year on Weight Watchers but still have a ways to go....but I do know that a lot more of it is muscle now...which is smaller...but heavier....Tomorrow I guess I'll have a number! Reading everyones stats was encouraging....ain't none of us alone! karin

I've only ridden 4 times in the past month due to a business trip and a persistant head cold. So, my weight, which is usually too high, is even higher than normal...which as I said, it pretty stout.

That being the case, it looks like I'm responsible for some nasty events!

Week 0 -- 195 lb.
Week 1 -- 193 lb. (-2 lb. from week 0)
Week 2 -- 191 lb. (-4 lb. from week 0)
Week 3 -- 191 lb. (-4 lb. from week 0)
Week 4 -- 192 lb. (-3 lb. from week 0)
Week 5 -- 190 lb. (-5 lb. from week 0)
Week 6 -- 191 lb. (-4 lb. from week 0)
Week 7 -- 190 lb. (-5 lb. from week 0)
Week 8 -- 190 lb. (-5 lb. from week 0)
Week 9 -- 189 lb. (-6 lb. from week 0)
Week 10 -- 189 lb. (-6 lb. from week 0)

With the shift to daylight savings time, my riding opportunities are now limited to weekends. So tonight I'm back in the gym -- either spinning, elipticals or swimming. I expect to actually lose more weight because the indoor workouts are more intense and I'm not downing energy bars during long rides.

Now if we could figure out a good way to escape the mind-numbing routine of working up a good sweat while going nowhere
