I don't pay attention to numbers

So it's hardly worth noting that August was my third best month of the year for total mileage, despite being only fifth in number of rides. I have to fly tomorrow, and I'm not sure if I can get a ride in, but if I could, there's a good chance I could raise the mileage to second highest month of the year, not that I'm focusing on that, of course.

It nearly escaped my attention that my average ride in August is one mile longer than my average ride for the year to date, probably because I don't pay much attention to numbers. Of course, due to low production in February and a recent slump in the latter half of June, I'm well behind my annual goal, if expressed as miles per month, and I'll have to increase my monthly average over the next four months by a C-note or so, if I'm to meet my personal goal.

I'm glad I don't pay attention to numbers!

I wish I could ride, any miles are better than none.

You never realize how much you miss riding until you can't do it. I had an accident in June that kept me off the bike until recently. I'm just now getting back up to my condition that I had before. WHAT A JOY! The type bike doesn't even matter - just the pleasure of being out there and able to ride. I agree with leob1 - any miles are better than none!
