297 in August for me. Includes my longest ride to date, 50 miles Pottstown, PA to north of Reading, PA on the Schuylkill River trail. An out and back. Also put me over 1200 for year, which betters 2005 total of 1184 miles. Less than 400 to go for this years goal. Probably reach that on the Bucks County Covered Bridge Tour. And if global warming is really here, should reach 2000 miles this year.

687 for August. On track for my goal of 5400 for the year. One hundred miles for each year since my birth. If I do the 5400 it will be my highest yearly total.

5727 mi thru 2day - 212,204 Kcals for the yr so far, thatz a lotta pie
4 tahrs, 2 chains (for 2 bikes), some rash, 3 stings, 4 flats, no broken spokes!
6 gazillion waves & smiles, 5 attempted assaults by cagers, 5 fingers thrown
plannin more tourist miles from here out...

As for 33 million, sssshhhh, don't tell anyone, but most of them are holed up in Greater LA/SD and a few more along the Bay area. And even with all those souls, there's still some mighty fun ridin in those areas. As for the rest of CA, well, mostly a wasteland... so don;t bother comin out here
I'd be more than happy to trade a big chunk of my cycling miles for just a nice chunk of skinny ski Km.
And even though skiin is just some long drivin time away; at this point in my life every minute spent in a cage is a minute wasted. That still leaves me with plenty of great options.
That all aside, what might be a common thread between riders, regardless of the mileage, is there are no wasted miles and if we make it back to the garage in one piece then it will prolly have been a great ride with its special moments.
