Avatars

Well, I have been using the same Avatar for a while, and it was selected primarily because I was under age for this forum, so I used my high school picture.

I like what Digital Gee has been doing lately, especially, the convict look to the current monastic look...

So, I will be trying to develop another avatar shortly, but I have to ask, DG... Who does your photography, or are they self portraits?

My own avatar will be different (obviously) and I am thinking of leaning a bit toward the psychadelic direction, perhaps something leaning toward the Peter Max direction...

I'll have to play around.

Now for the general question.

Do you really relate to your avatar, or did you just pick something to fit in?

The Wyoming Department of Natural Resources asked me to sit for my portrait for their Varmit Bounty Poster. Thought I'd use it for BF, too. My cousin Mendel is on the Arizona and Colorado posters. You'll notice a strong family resemblance.

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.

Mine is a caricature that my good friend, avid outdoorsman and graphic design mentor did of me.

My avatar is my hubby (captain) & me at the end of our first tandem century in Palm Springs last month. So yeah, I really relate.

I'd like to be more clever with my avatars but I lack time & know-how.

I tried putting a picture of me on my MTB for my avatar, but the camera breaks every time I take my picture. So for a while I posted the stock Parrot picture, because the "rocco" in roccobike is named for our pet parakeet (soon to be papa Rocco, 5 eggs from our female ready to hatch). Finally I settled on a picture of the downtube of the bicycle brand I'm obsessed with.
Some day I'll put my picture up, but all of you will have to promise to continue responding when I post before I'll do that.

I think you should commisson D'Gee to take it. Also, I think his pic in the avatar looks a bit like Sean Connery in one of the scenes from the movie First Knight.
