Prayers needed for UNC's Mascot
OT but University of NC's Mascot was struck by a vehicle last night. He was out walking alongside the road prior to UNC's game with USC in New Jersey. He is in very bad shape.
He's a super kid and was good friends with my daughter in High School. He needs all the help he can get right now.

Sorry to hear about this...I have two in college-- his parents must be distraught. I'll put this request in to the Ladie's Prayer Circle tomorrow. They may be silver haired and fragile, but those ladies are Determined and can seemingly move mountains.

Sad story for what sounds like a great kid. Doesn't look like he is going to make it:

Thank you for telling us about this tragedy; since my two sons straddle him in age, his parents have my full sympathy.
I am not familiar with the intersection, but one account reads as though he was crossing the mouth of a freely-flowing offramp. These freeway-style intersections can be extremely dangerous to bicyclists and pedestrians, and even to other motorists.

Just saw a new blurb that he did not survive. My condolences to his family, JPPE and his family. Makes me glad I only lived in NJ for a year or so. Drivers are wild there!
