More bike-to-work events

This morning was another bike-to-work ride for the Drive Less, Live More campaign. I arrived at 6:30 for breakfast then escorted a couple new commuters along the trail to their downtown destination. The weather was great, the wildlife was active and the commuters were good company. It was the first time for both riders and they thought it was something they would continue to do at least once or twice a week

After the bike-to-work event we waited at a rest area on the trail for a couple on a tandem who were doing a century on the trails for a local radio station. They are raising funds for a mission in town. They were about 1/3 of the way when we talked to them and headed to the Little Miami Scenic Trail to complete their century.

The pictures are from the bike-to-work station, Riverscape (downtown Dayton), a Bianchi at the event and the couple broadcasting their progress on their trip. It's been a great biking day and it's not even noon

Great to see stuff like this happening...promoting a better way of life, or life that does not use so many of our resources.
I live where I work so don't have to drive to work but I do have to drive 'for' my work, cept round town I do use the bent for errands.
peace
