Since you already have your photos (nice ones BTW) in a Photobucket album, it is simple to post full size pictures or thumbnails that we can click and enlarge. Just check the boxes of the pictures you want to post, click the button at the bottom of the page to generate HTML and IMG code, copy the code for IMG clickable thumbnails or IMG images and paste the code in your message. Easy!

Congratulations on your accomplishment. Now its time for a glass of beer (or milk) and a piece of PIE.

You have done something I have yet to accomplish this year. The longest ride so far was the 67.7 miles I did with the Denver/Parker group ride. That might be a goal to work to in two weeks when I am back on Mids. I could get up at 3am and start my ride. Be home before the temp gets over 90

WELL DONE

wow he's gorgeous! (feel free to post more of those BTW)

Thanks for the tutorial, let me see if I can get the one of me in all my post-century sweatiness and grime-covered bedragglement (is that a word? I don't think so.) Hey it works! Thank you!

" riding a century is hard"

Of course it is....and you have done it...congrats. If it were easy even DG and TB would have done it. The work, dedication, and perseverance you put into your biking has paid of in a big way...we salute you... (we need a pie smiley face)

That look like a great turn out, but were the pictures taken earlier this year, thinking drought, or the trees weren't blooming yet, and it was spring.

Ye, I felt pretty sore yesterday after the ride, but today I feel surprisingly quite fine. A little achey in the quads, but nothing really awful. Didn't ride though, but I do plan to have a banana split after evening church

What made it kind of hard mentally was our ride was actually 103 miles (and I knew that), and my trip odometer was off by about a mile (forgot to turn it on after one of the stops) so even when I hit the 90 mile mark, it still felt like a long way to go yet. But eventually the miles ticked down and we made it back......

Thanks, Mojo, But I didn't want to steal any well-deserved thunder from mom4four. And I already had another thread started in the Long Distance forum.

Thank you. Must be the family resemblance.
That is Ribby, my very BOBish '92 Bridgestone RB-1. It was designed by Grant Petersen a few years before he started Rivendell. After Bridgestone folded, GP took what he had started with the Bridgestone Owners Bunch (BOB) and rolled it into Rivendell. Many of the parts and the inspiration for the paint scheme came from Rivendell. You're right, she is real purdy. And she's a great riding bike, a veteran of a few dozen centuries. Every one I've ever done was on that bike.
To answer George, the pictures were taken in April on Brasstown Bald the day the Tour de Georgia came up there. Spring had not quite sprung at that altitude.
The other picture momof4greatkids liked so much was of Mario Cipollini getting a little help going up the same mountain during the 2004 TdG.

That's all the offtopic posts I'll add to this thread. I only meant to offer some tips on posting pictures, not hijack a thread that should stick to congratulating momof4greatkids on her great achievement. Congratulations!

Congrats and great job!! But I didn't want to hear that it was hard. Would have liked it better if it was easier than you expected. I get to do my first century, actually 110 miles, on Aug 4. Then I get to do 82 more on Aug 5. So pleeeeease tell us it was really easier than you expected!!

Sure it's hard. But would it be nearly as satisfying if it weren't? Anything worth doing is hard. It is hard, but it's not so hard that you can't do it and have fun.
