which pedals?
What do you recommend for pedals for my new bike? Should I just switch my candy's from my hybrid to my road bike or get something new?
I can't decide.
I like the ease of use of my egg beaters, but I do notice my knees and the bottom of my feet hurt on really long rides (>60 miles)

The Forum has censured me on this issue. I am not permitted to give advice on pedals.

Since your use to the eggbeaters get the Crank Brothers Quattro's.

It comes down to whether you value riding or walking more. If riding, get road shoes and road cleats like Look or SPD-SL.
Some people prefer to use the same pedal system on all their bikes. I prefer to use the system that works best for the type of riding I do on that bike. Looks for the road bike, Eggbeaters for the MTB and commuter, toe clips for the town bike.

I have just done a ride on the "OLD" bike that has M520's fitted. Spd Mountain bike Shoe by the way so I can walk from the bike to the cafe and in the Cafe while I get my coffee and Bun. On the "NEW" bike I have the A520's fitted. Same shoe- different pedal. My feet hurt right now after a 3 hour ride.(Coffee and bun time taken out). I have not noticed any foot pain with the A 520's. There is a difference with the pedals and the longer length of the A520's does not seem to cause a problem. The M520s are about the same size as the eggbeaters, so perhaps a smaller area taking strain on the foot.
