DG, you certainly don't have to ride a century to please this surly crowd ;) ,but just in case you do decide to ride one, you should probably have a new bike standing by for the event.

Nah. No need to push anything. Moderation is the key to long life. Wouldn't want to discover you've aggravated a knee, or hip, or wrist ...and have to quit biking just to recover from a century you didn't need anyway.

DG is incapable of riding a century...but, this has nothing to do with physical limitations.

He's not capable of not posting to BF for the amount of time it would take for him to ride a century.
