Hi, Yen... I just got the Arkel Tail Rider. Not inexpensive (ha!), but... this is my mid life crisis bike so what the heck! It's sleek, expandable and out of the way. I just Don't want anything on my handlebars.
I also like the axiom Columbus which has drop down sides to stow more stuff. It's half the $ and a no car guy at my LBS has one. But somehow I just didn't fall in love with it. Did you get a new bike?

That's no kickstand either. It's a sharp stick that he rams up his butt before each ride.

I really don't like to ride with stuff on my back and I do ride with saddle pack. Having a tube, phone, CO2 cartridges etc in my pockets is just a hassle for me and since I am usually soaked with sweat afetr a ride everything has to be stored in plastic. I recently purchase a Trek pack, it was a bit pricey but I like the side opening pocket.

I have, and sometimes use on 100 milers this Cannondale bag. Big for a seat bag, but not frightening.
I hve this top tub bag for really long rides. I like it better then my Bento Box top tube bag
Banjo Bros
Tricia has this Topeak for her cell on her commuter. It's smaller tan this photo makes it loo.

Wow! Nice to see this thread resurrected. I forgot about it and never came back to say "thanks" for the replies and post an update.
I ended up getting the Topeak Compact Handlebar Bag when I bought the Roubaix. Sure, it isn't the coolest, sleekest one out there, but I wanted something roomy enough for cell phone, camera, snacks, sleeves, and whatever else I might need to pack for and during long organized rides. It mounts on the front of the handlebars in a clamp and can be removed and worn as a fanny pack or carried by the handle on top. It also has a mesh pocket in the top where I put my ID or other flat items. I can easily reach for bite-size snacks while riding instead of reaching back behind me. It comes with a waterproof cover that looks like a small golden-yellow shower cap. It's black, so it matches my bike.

I don't know... if I can't carry it in my wedge and jersey (or jacket) pockets, I don't need it
When I'm on the LeMond which has no under saddle wedge (or anything else) I carry it all* in my jersey pockets. If I take my camera, I velcro strap the case to the top tube or just carry the camera -sans case- in my jersey. I mean, if the pros can carry water bottles in their jersey pockets...
*what is "it all"? Cell phone, multi-tool/tire levers/patch kit (tube stuffed in the saddle rails), garage door opener, iPod (when I use it). Inhaler and issues. Sometimes my Cleat cover and camera, too.

I carry my cell phone, snacks and digital camera in the pockets of my jersey. I've never had a problem losing anything. Arm warmers can also be stored in the jersey pockets or just slip them down around your wrists.
If you decide on a handlebar bag be sure it doesn't interfere with any of your cables.

I use a Bento Box (on the top tube) for my cell phone, because I can hear it better. I carry my little camera there, too. I have three different sizes of underseat bags. Right now, I have the smallest wedge on, will go to the middle when I get back to wearing arm warmers. I used a still-larger expandable when I have arms, legs and a wind breaker to stuff on longer rides.
