Pie Ride
Here are pictures from the post-Christmas Pie Ride. I hope I can get this photo thing to work.
First photo is the sign for Lea's Lunchroom in Lecompte, LA. You old farts should be able to identify the make of the automobile under the sign! Lecompte is pronounced "la COUNT" in that part of the world. I figured we needed to give Irma's a little competition.

Next photo documents annual pie festival in Lecompte.

Yours truly + helmet hair + cherry pie + high viscosity coffee as black as coal

Old Fuj taking a break in Lecompte.

Information on Lecompte and Bayou Boeuf. Bayou Boeuf is pronounced "buy you beff" in that part of the world. Most of my ride to and from Lea's from the house was along the bayou. Round trip was about 25 miles... long enough to burn off the pie, I hope.

One nice thing about Louisiana is that there is a festival happening somewhere just about all year round for just about anything you can think of. I have been to many of the festivals around Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Krotz Springs, and parts nearby. Lots of good food, good drink, and good people.
It's been awhile.
Thanks for reminding me Doc.

Very nice sir. That looks to be a proper piece of pie (the correct fruit) and a nice cup of coffee indeed. I'm sure you enjoyed the trip. Thanks for posting.

The car is too valuable to be sitting up on blocks!! The pie looks really delicious.
