Hit the upper thirties in Salt Lake today. Great day for riding, except for the half-frozen slush and the dirty snowbanks. (Sigh) I hate winter. I asked my wife why we live here, and she claims it's because we're stupid.
She's probably right.

Yeah! I was just about to post that she looked like an Elvis fan with that little lip action...

DG... I had no idea you had such a mean streak in you.

I hear you, DG. We had 65* and sun; I wore my shorts for the first time since October. (Several people had to look away from the glare.) We spotted a couple of almond trees beginning to flower. Spring can't be far now!

Oh, the ride was terrific, too.

I'm doing a couple of months of relieving teaching. The first week (Feb 4-8) it was mid 70s in the mornings and high 90s coming home. 12 miles each way. It just takes more water and a little more time in the evening. Heat is not hard over that distance, but one does need to be mindful of hydration state.

It was mid-70's here yesterday, with no wind. The breeze when I was riding felt cool enought to put on a vest, but it felt hot when I stopped. By afternoon it was too hot for the vest. I rode to the pacific ocean at Avila Beach. The waves were big. There were surfers and body boarders, college kids sunning themselves, kids making sand castles, the bike trail was full of people enjoying the beautiful weather. It was a good day (except for that newfound creak coming from my bottom bracket!)

Is that newfound creak a tributary that leads to the ocean?

Hey, it's 50 outside today!

Oops. Never mind, I was looking at the wind speed.

We hit 50 yesterday, but I was at work. Today, 20 with 20-30 mph winds. I admit to being soft, I won't even go for a walk in that.

I'll be out in the Cali sunshine (I hope the rains are finished for the year) next week, but sadly can't take my bike.

Another beautiful day of riding in central Georgia. This time just me and my son on the local trail. He's slowly becoming a good MTB rider now that he has a good bike.

DG you should have ridden the Tour de Palm Springs! It got up to 86 mid afternoon. Lovely day for a century!

Hope the weather holds for our first double century of the year next weekend (Feb. 16th - Butterfield).

Not by accident, either. As soon as I gave him the black bike, he went online looking for a red jersey so he could fly the UGA colors. That boy bleeds red and black.

WOOOF
