After 490 very boring trainer miles since 1 Jan, I finally got to ride outdoors today. 26 miles, a whopping 670 feet of climbing and an astonishing 18.6 mph average. Going to be a long slog till summer.

Your ride today is reason to celebrate. And, 490 trainer miles must have made the ride today seem easier than just not riding at all. Glad you got off the trainer for at least one ride. Summer will come.

I sure hope so. Up here at 7200 feet it takes a while!

Congratulations!

But at least you don't have a bazillion trillion people to dodge where you live....

Saw no other cyclists today and about 20 cars; despite starting and ending at home (in town). Nice to be retired and be able to ride at 1 p.m. in a town of 25,000.

I should be able to get outside this weekend, finally! The ice really has clung to the secondary roads this winter.

Been able to ride all winter but SOMETIMES- I wish I hadn't. The attachment is not a bad blurred pic- It is the rain coming down- That was a wet and windy ride.

Wonder if its worth getting a trainer- Just to save me sprouting webbed feet

I can't recall a week so far this year I was not able to get in a ride, mostly on weekends. Doing an organized metric this Saturday with a forecast of overnight low of 57 and a high of 72 with a slight chance of rain. We'll ride rain or shine.

I thought you were a reasonably intelligent man until I saw the shorts -- now I know you're daft!

I was on the camera. This was me later in the ride. Note the Full waterproof Goretex top that works

Sooo...now we find out it wasn't him. He was on the camera and NOT riding bare legged. It still doesn't necessarily mean he's not daft.
