Assuming you are 103...

I rode your age today if you are 103.

I started off on a 50 miler but the weather was so nice, that I pushed the turn around out to 35 for a 70 miler. At the turn around, it was obvious that this was a special day made just for cycling and a century, so the rest is history.

I had intended to get home in a few hours to do some yard work all afternoon, but that's just tough patooties. It can wait till another day.

Sounds like you made great decisions all around. Congrats on the unplanned century.

Solo Century? Yard work? Solo Century? Yard work? I think you made the right decision. Been there. Rode that.

Congratulations, Trsnrtr, on a great ride. I believe the spontaneous rides are often the most enjoyable.
Well done!

The weather around here has been incredible: 70s, calm to light winds, blue skies and fluffy clouds. It's been amazing.

Since you started out to do a 50, I am claiming the last 53 as my age ride.

That's OK. I'll stick with our 57F degree morning lows and 78F afternoon highs. Of course, it could be 95F in a few days here, too.

Fine by me. Just figure that you are off the hook for this year's birthday ride!

Not unless he dressed in his Fredliest attire, rode painfully slow and stopped every couple of miles.
