Climbed my age (x100)

My friend Joyce called and asked "Wanta climb on Saturday" and I said yes. We ended up at about 65 miles with my Garmin reporting 5400 feet of up. Later my Ascent software "smoothed" it down just a touch, but I'm still going to claim that 5400 feet, darn it.

Our ride took us from the warm Diablo Valley to the foggy wet Berkeley hills and then back to now-really-hot Contra Costa County, out the the San Joaquin and back to Central Contra Costa.

It's amazing how much the temps can change so much in such a short distance.

Nicely done. I like the climbing your age times 100 thing.

Looks like a *fun* ride.

I am thinking about riding Zonatandem's age x 100 on Sept. 7 but not sure I'm ready for it...

+1

Remind me to never accept an invitation to ride with him if I'm in his area
