Stand aside for Dirty Jack Kidd, or you'll need your red shirt. Or maybe your brown pants.

Seriously! We should go hoist the jolly roger in a different forum and claim it for the day. Foo would be most appropriate, but the roadies have given us some grief in the past year. SSFG would be the most fun, because it would be something they would do.

It seems that I am Captain Davy Bonney, who is a bit off of his rocker.

Ahoy, my name is Grey Beard.
The mar mention o' my ship's name, The Golden Jewel strikes fear int' the
hearts o' all MUP'ers all o'er the globe. Arrr, she's sleek and fast with a
shallow keel and a ruthless crew. Yep, not a sin'le Ruth among them.
Aye, me parrot concurs.

Brrin', brrin' get out o' my way. Gar.

Due to my love of France- Capn- "Pont Le Veque" reporting. And if any of you know Normandy- You will realise that I am the "Big Cheese"

But Sacrilidge-Whisky on board ship? Has to be Pussers* Rum Or Cognac

* Pussers--- Any thing that is service issue and if you have ever had Genuine Navy Rum- You would not drink anything else on board ship.

And going back to the days when it was unsafe to drink the water onboard ship- British naval ratings used to have an issue of beer every day. And at around 8 pints a day- it was surprising the England once ruled the waves.

I tried the site from deraltekluge but "Stuttering Bill Smyth" didn't do it for me.

The site I posted came up with "Captain Sam Read"

Neither one seemed comfortable with Maddmaxx as a starting point.......

As for the English Navy ruling the waves............that was when (as all american sailors would know) the chief competition was the French or the Spaniards....

Going by the inference- We have a saying over here- "Go tell it to the Marines"

If the Marines believe it- It must be true- But it must be the Royal Marines and it must be a serving one. Bit hard to find at present as they are all in Afghanistan and Iraq- Helping Out the Americans.

The other site came up with "Semi-evil Tom Read".

Tom, I don't know! That sounds more like the "Southern Gentleman" room down the hall.
Did someone say "Southern Gentleman"?

Let me hold the door open for them! Or I'll buy the whiskey. Whichever they prefer?

Dirty Jack Kidd has a serious question for the rest of the room. Is it OK for me and the rest of the pirates and crew to like a glass or two of a good Chardonnay or is like pusser's rum mandatory? Cause if pusser's is mandatory, I smell mutiny on the bounding main. I mean I like that the name sounds dirty and all that, but come on. Chardonnay is better. Right men?

That's what's cooking in Granny's kitchen, right down the hall in the Beverly Hillbillies Party Room. Don't forget your pot passer. I hear Virginia Baked Possum is the special tomorrow.
