It's raining, and the polling place is so close it's not worth it to drag the bike out of the van. So I'm going to walk.

Instead of using my errand bike for the 3 minute ride to my polling place, I might actually suit up in full kit and ride my racing bike and do a little posing while I'm in line with my stainless mug of coffee.

I rode my daily commuter, which is a bit of a frankenbike, and voted on my way to work this morning. Bike is a Bianchi San Remo touring bike frame. Barcon for the Rder (shimano) downtube shifter for the Fder (Campy), lights like a christmas tree, fenders, panniers and a trunk. Traffic was backed up 1/2 mile from the polling place waiting to be able to get into the parking lot - so it was nice to be able to zip right in!

I took my everyday rider a ST400 Cannondale, its the only picture I have of it, since then I've changed the seat and handle bars.

I rode my V-Rex. I took half a personal day; gotta take it or lose it, so might as well use it for something like this! Nice day, great 15 mile ride, and I was able to hit the precinct at a very un-busy time.

Beautiful sunny, wind-free, 70° Indian Summer day, so I rode Yellow Bike to work. We stopped to vote on the way home. The table of three election ladies said they liked my hi-viz jersey. But somehow, their eyes kept drifting lower...

Took the Tour Easy...and as I was re-loading my panniers to head back to work, I discovered that the rear rack is busted.
That little "I Voted" sticker (aided by a zip tie or two) is now the only thing holding the rack together.

rode the early 80's Gianni Motta...Hit a small bump on the way back, and the bolt that holds the clamp ,that holds the seat to the post broke... didn't impale me, but had to balance the seat on the post on the way back...Fun....Musta been a sign....

My daily commuter...it is a Trek atb that I "borrowed"...yeah that's the ticket...from my wife hehehe.

I rode my department store Magna Great Divide.
Let's see, that was 5.8 miles to the polling place, another 3.9 to the public library to use the computers, and 4.2 home from there, for a total of 13.9 mi. It got a bit overcast late in the day, but it was otherwise a beautiful ride.
