I put platform pedals on my commuting bike. First time I've ridden a bike regularly without toe clips or cleats since....well, I don't remember when. Maybe junior high?

I like it.

Joined the race team and learned that I'm not 'hungry' enough for it, and am not fond of suffering. Or crashing.

Rode up the steeper side of a local hill that stumped me years ago and had me filled with dread at the mere mention...now I do repeats over the bugger.

Keeping a log of my rides and mileage (Cycle17's suggestion! )

I bought a cyclocross bike to use as a commuter. I like it so much I ride it on a lot more than just commuting. It came with a Brooks saddle, something I thought I would never bother trying, and to my suprise I like the Brooks a lot.
My wife and I rode one day of Ragbrai while in Iowa visiting releatives. I have never seen so many bikes in one place. The Iowa State Police estimated 16,500 bicycles the day we were there. We are going to go back and ride the entire week in a couple of years.
