My 1997 Basso Loto seemed kind of tired on saturdays ride so when I saw this Sportstore Brand bike used and with an acceptable price I entered the new millenium. Prices are high in Norway so I think I got a lot of bike for 1500$.

I thought Scandinavia was expensive but that looks a good price to me-A Bl**dy good price. Mind you-Our friends across the water may not think so. But they are spoilt with the cheap inferior goods that they seem to be happy with.

That does look good- but take a bit of time getting used to this modern material. It is not as Fragile as it is made out to be- unless you drop it- Is not as supple as you think it should be and it does take time to adjust the body to it. Have fun riding it and the ride report is expected A.S.A.P.

Sweet score. Can they ship a 58 to the States?

Looks good, plus SRAM Force is excellent (I have it on my Ti bike). You will now have fun!

Nice bike for the price. The brand will be unfamiliar on this side of the Atlantic. SRAM Force is excellent. The seatpost and saddle appear to be PZ Racing. There is no distributor for PZ in the US but they sell some very attractive carbon parts. I have picked up a couple via Ebay from overseas dealers.

I'm not sure that we could do this well at that price in the US.........good buy.

Black and blue, my favorite color combination! That bike looks awesome! However, that miniature model of the Concorde SST they call a seat has got to be uncomfortable. Looks like it is flying just standing still. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Ride report. The front still vibrates a tiny bit when I brake so I am working on a solution. ( I have done quite a bit, cleaning the rims , new pads and tightening the headset) I have done my hill repeats, two 22, one 50 and one 120 mile ride on the bike. It is very fast and fun to ride, but it it is not a long distance rig. I did the 120 mile ride today alone. Last saturday I did the same loop with a bunch of people on my steel Basso Loto. On bad stretches of tarmac it did not feel like the same road at all. This bike sends everything up to the handlebar whereas the Loto smoothens out the bad road much better. The time was OK though (left 9:00 and returned 15:40). So this will be my fast rig and I will be a happy shopper for a new long distance bike. It is just my size and I sit very well on the bike. A new saddle will be next, I did todays ride on that weird torture thing it came with just out of spite. It really isn't as bad as you would think but I hope I can find a light saddle that is better.

That vibration up to the bars- I had the same on the TCR-C when I got it. Rough patches of road or manhole covers and the bike did not stop bouncing. Tried a lot of things to sort out and eventually found out it was the wheels. Mavic Aksiums do not give the most compliant of rides but I thought the C.F. Frame would not have this problem. Tried the Ultegra wheels that work fine on the Aluminium race spec frame and still had the same problem. The cure though was to drop tyre pressures a bit and use the training wheels. 36 spoke laced X 2. That worked. The bike is now a dream to ride- it sails up hills but I am still a bit wary of fast descents.

Did the 300 km Brevet with the bike yesterday. The Easton rims and the Sram pads do not seem to get along, I must get some Koolstops or Swissstops. However I swapped the front wheel for a radially spoked with regular rim I,ve got and the bike completely changed from very stiff up front to really nice and comfortable. Now I need to find out why the crankset creaks. I dissassembled and greased it but it still makes noises. Considering getting a 2008 Chorus instead.

The talk about componentry is way over my head.

What model Easton's are they? I but Orion IIs on my Tarmac and have had no break troubles.
I found the same as you have. My CF Tarmac is quick, fast and a great climber but it stays in the stable when the ride is over 45 miles - for those long rides the old steel Simoncini comes out.
I haven't ridden it this year yet - but have a century next weekend, maybe I'll give it a spin today just to make sure there are no bugs in it.

That is the sleekest looking brake housing set up I've seen, and still a nice looking ride to boot.

The wheels are Tempest 2 with alluminum rims.
