Really nice 35 mile ride today with little to no wind for a change. Temps in upper 70's and nice blue skies. Cyclemeter showed today's ride as being 0:8:20 ahead of my median time (with winds) for that ride. Who said that winds don't slow you down?

20 miles in the local Business Park last night. Just trying to burn some calories. Then went and ate Italian with the wife?!?!
|
I haven't posted here in a long time. Last weekend I rode around San Diego bay- the Bayshore Bikeway, about a 27 mile trip. Had a nice tailwind, it was invigorating!
|
Another day with little to no winds and temps in the upper 70's. Did a 35 mile ride and beat yesterday's ride by 3 minutes.
|
A good ride into the office this morning. Large patches of ice due to yesterdays snow melt and heavy rain. 23degF, moderate westerly wind, a pleasant ride overall. I will be treking back tonight in snow though. It may be somewhat slower.
|
Did a quick out and back up a local hill. 13 miles,800+ feet of climbing, 60 degrees.
|
Did my usual after-work 30 mile ride. Haven't ridden in six days. It was old and windy, but it was still good.
|
Another 35 miles at the MUP today. Winds Gods must have come back from vacation as it was back to the old wind tunnel rides. Nice and warm but the winds were no fun today.

We did a nice 32 miler on the Withlacoohee from Floral City to past I-75. The weather was great... at the start hi 60's and end hi 70's a little head wind on the way out but enjoyed it on the way back. As usual a figured we deserved a stop at Ferris Groves for a fresh strawberry shake. Next weekend is the Floral City Strawberry Festival and am looking forward to riding to the fair even if I can't eat any of the "fair food". The new bikes reached a milestone today.... 1,000 miles so they needed a little time on the work stand when they returned home. After a little cleaning they still look pretty good.http://www.smartcarofamerica.com/gal...?imageid=15348

After being knocked flat with this cold, I finally got on the bike this am. Rode 45 minutes on the trainer.
|
Yesterday rode 12.5 miles -first day in quite a while with very little wind. Today it's raining here in central NJ so I'll just do my usual "old man's"(!) weight training workout.
Best regards |
Winds went crazy here this morning. Not the strongest I have ridden in, but they were constant throughout my 35 mile ride. I'm worn out today!

Beautiful sunny mid-30's this afternoon. 17 miles with a bit of a headwind on the way out but tailwind (not much, but a little helps a lot) on the way back in.
|
10 miles indoors, snow and ice outdoors.
|
Today's ride kicked my butt. Ended up doing 66 miles in the Oakland Hills with a total elevation gain of 5300. Weather was bright sunshine in the 60s - almost perfect riding weather. My first century of the season is in 2 weeks, I think I can do it at this point. I have kept adding stuff to my bike - top bar bag for phone, snacks, etc and a pump. I've lost all weight advantage of having a carbon bike, but at least I ride comfortably!

No! No I did not and here is the reason;
http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/IMGP0181.JPG I had taken a vacation day so I would have a few days to put in some miles on the bike. Mother nature had other ideas. |

With the right gear, that's a good ride day. :)

Rode in the Santa Monica Mountains for the first time in a while. I miss it.
Started out in the mid 30s, but it warmed up as the day went on. Got about 8000 feet of climbing in only 65 miles. Here's most of the group at the top of Decker ... great group! http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psfc63072c.jpg |
76 min on the trainer this am.
