Yes, for a 6 or possibly 7 speed.

Put me down for someone who did it. Brand new Madone 5.2. Biking in Florida 100 miles/day on a trail. Clean and lubricate the Chain every day. Hardly any rain (was winter). The bike started to act up after 10,000 miles of it. I was training for CC Tour for 120 days.
I replaced everything the chain touched. Several hundred dollars.
I check the chain for stretch but find little evidence of it. I use high cadence biking with not too much sprinting or standing while biking.

Chains do not stretch. they wear out from dirt grinding on the pins under the rollers. This wear elongates the chain. We call it chain stretch. It's really chain wear.
