Pedals for Powergrips?
Can anyone recommend a good flat pedal that will work well with Power Grips? Most of the pedals I see in my local bike shops are shaped in such a way that there is not a convenient flat face or holes to mount these grips. I am testing Power grips on my ancient bike mounted on the trainer, but the pedals won't fit my new Touring bike.
I am working on the assumption that Power Grips will stop my right foot from wandering off the pedal, which it has done since I had a knee replacement a couple of years ago. Don't want to go clipless for many reasons, such as wearing heavy shoes for cold weather, and reluctance to add to the odds of falling with my 74 year old body
I am using a BMX style studded pedal on the tourer at present, and it leaves pretty tattoo marks on my leg at times when my right foot dislodges.

$9.95ea and you will need 2. I got powergrips for my Tandem as my wife didn't want clipless or clips. Besides, we use it for pie rides to Starbucks so we can wear sneakers. Works really well. Almost as good as clipless. The only down side is you must have these "bear trap" type platform pedals so riding bare foot is out. THen again, riding barefoot is not such a bright idea anyway.
Go for it.

Powergrips work with most, but not all, caged pedals. I prefer SPD clipless but liked PowerGrips better than toe clips, generally.

Please read the web page carefully, this link is for 1/2 inch pedals. Are you sure that's what you want?

9/16" is what most of us are usually looking for in a pedal.
