So it is basically the total number of times the thread has been viewed, however each person will only be counted once per hour. So a single person can't drive up the number of views by hitting a thread repeatedly over a 15-30 minute timespan, or even a 2 hour timespan (would only be counted twice).

And each of us is older than we have ever been before. With luck we will all get even older.
But that certainly beats the alternative.

I'm 65 and feeling every bit of it. Haven't ridden in over two weeks because of temps (the temperature got a few degrees above freezing today for the first time in two weeks) and house remodeling (that hopefully will be finished by mid-February -- the bedrooms and one bathroom look like a ghetto. Luckily the other bathroom is 95% complete.).

55. Hey, I joined AARP as soon as I turned 50. I still have to wait 10 years to get a senior citizen's bus pass which is $10 for three years and lets you ride the bus anywhere on the island for free! The local grocery store offers 10% off on Tuesdays for those 60 and older so I've got five years to go. I was chronically ill in my youth so I'm really in much better shape than I was at 25, so it is really hard to feel old.

53 right now but plan to make it to 54. I am hoping to learn to ride much faster, I understand if I can go fast enough I will stop aging.

I'm 58 'till mid-June, but I feel much older. I've been off the bike for a few weeks and shoveling tons of snow. I got fat again, my belts are running out of leather!!!. Every joint in my body hurts. My skin is all dry and itchy.
On the other hand, the kids have all gone back to where they were before the holiday. Maybe my mood will improve and my symptoms will diminish when my old daily routine kicks back in.
I think I'm ready for Spring now!

I know the feeling well. Just turned 55 a few weeks ago and I now have the option to retire at any time. All of my pension investments are fully vested and my sick leave to health insurance conversion option is activated. Don't have any serious plans to retire in the next 18-24 months but I like having the option.

Turned 71 last November and rewarded myself with a Tacx Fortius T1930 VR Trainer. Last winter, in NJ, I missed a couple of months of outdoor winter training and decided I was going to stay in shape this winter. The Tacx trainer is just great, with their VR videos. I've been virtual riding in San Remo Italy, Flanders, and the Netherlands. The exercise is quite comparable to outdoor cycling with progressive resistance on hills and freewheeling downhill. I've been getting in plenty of miles during this unusual cold snap.
I recently looked at a graph of my mph average speed over the past ten year period and was pleased to see that I'm still increasing my average speed (~ 15.4 mph +).
I'm curious to see how this will translate into road cycling in a few months.

I am heartened and disheartened by the less than 3% of folks on the poll who are 70+.
I am heartened that there are any at all.
I am disheartened that there are not even 3%.
I am blown away by the huge percentage in the 50-54 age group!!

I'll be 52 in a couple months. Still trying to decide what to be when I grow up.

Will be 59 in March. And I'm even looking forward to 60 now. Must have something to do with the bike!

I'm not voting on the poll because in 2 weeks I change 'age groups'... from the 50-54 to the 55-59
