Log In Not Fixed. But I Found A Way Around It.

I'm back on the forum more often now that I found a way around the log in problem. The owners of the forum haven't fixed it. I still can't log on normally. But, I had some boredom time and figured a way around the problem.

Now as the mood strikes and there is time I can come here and "contribute" like all the real folks

Be sure you put in the correct username/password before you commit to "remember." Don't ask me how I know this.

In order:
--I always delete all cookies after leaving the site, any site. I do not keep cookies on my machine at all. Before I shut down I use CCleaner to clean out all junk, including cookies that I may have missed.
--Always have checked the "Remember Me" box. Has no effect on my log in.
--Never had that problem. But I am getting old so I'll keep that in mind for the future.

Some one mention Cookies?

Technology is leaving me behind because I am getting lazy. Something causes a problem and I call on the son-in-law.

Coconut macaroon.

Apparently not a good flavor since the owners didn't fix the problem.

If you left the cookies alone, you most likely wouldn't have as many problems. How do you think sites "remember" you?

Why does it always have to be cookies? Why not pie? Or cake, or doughnuts?

First of all: It is not my problem. It is the owner's problem since it is them who suffer the financial loss when their hit count goes down. For me it is a minor inconvenience since mainly I use this forum during down times.

Second: The "remember me" pertains to navigation within the web site. Just to check, as a troubleshooting action, I did retain the cookies from a visit. When I tried to log in a bit later there was the same log in malfunction.

By the way there are still other display and functional issues these months after the "upgrade".
