Congrats to all that did this thing! I rode with Keith today and he said due to the wind the top 5 were only able to break 10 hours, whereas last year they got under 9 hours.
If you saw a rider on a fixed gear Dawes bike, that was BF member Shprung. |
I had a great time on the Solvang Double, driving a SAG vehicle, helping riders fix flat tires, pouring out lots of water into bottles, raising a seat post 1/8" for one rider and keeping riders on the course.
Saw Curtis and Dante from this forum, lots of other friends too! Sorry I couldn't ride it, but it was good to spend the day helping out. Rick / OCRR |

My wife is riding Hemet, I don't think Lou is (she's moving into a new house that weekend). I am on the fence at the moment, due to my back pain. I rode 30 flat miles yesterday evening and had some back pain, but it was bearable. So maybe with lots of Motrin, I could complete Hemet. Maybe I'll try cause it's easy to call it a day after one 100 mile loop on that double. Rick / OCRR |

Yes if I don't ride I'll definitely work the ride. Whether I SAG or work a checkpoint though, I don't know and I won't (probably) until I get there Fri. evening. Jackie and I will be staying out in Hemet at the Motel 6 (Hemet Double Headquarters) Fri. and Sat. nights. Rick / OCRR |

I'm at Motel 6 Fri. & Sat. night. Julie Russell is scheduled to carpool with me and she's staying there also.
afternoon. I can usually do these easy doubles without any pain. It kinda messes with my head to start one in pain. Rick / OCRR |
