Trek FX 7300

I gave my Trek 7300 to my son and he had the rear wheel collapsed on him. I have some wheels here from my Jamis to put on his bike, but I don't know how wide the dropouts are on the Trek. I know a few of you guys got one. Could you give me a measurement on how wide the dropouts are. He has no idea what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Hows that saying go, measure twice and ship once. If the bike is somewhat new, it should be 130mm. Old 6 and 7 speeds were 126mm and MTB go with 135mm. Ask your son to measure, the answer should be 130mm or 135mm.

Typically a Trek hybrid uses mountain bike components. Like most hybrid bikes, except when you get to their lighter weight, fitness bikes which use more road bike components.

So my guess would be 135mm, if it is on the newer side.
