Bike team wins WSB division!
The World Series of Birding was held this past weekend. I know, sounds funny. That is until you realize that the event has raised over eight million dollars for nature advocacy. So, a good cause.
This year a bicycle team won the Carbon Footprint division. In that division no motorized vehicles can be used. Bikes, kayaks, canoes, skateboards ,and your feet are allowed. The team booked over 150 bird species while riding over 100 miles carrying scopes, binocs and other needed gear with them. Pretty cool!
