First Metric Century!
Yeah! I made it. I am sure many of you have done this multiple times. The first time is such a big deal. First starting out on the bike commute thing a couple years back I would laughed at you if you'd said I would be doing this. The ride was really quite nice. Was part of the Tour de Cure here in the Atlanta area on Sunday. Lovely weather, nice people, good roads what more can you ask for?
Oh and I was among the top 100 fundraisers this year! Woo hoo!

yeah I've already been challenged for next year to ride the 100 and get a pretty Ben Franklin donated to the TdC for my efforts. Am still recuperating from the Metric. Will be hitting the road later this summer for some other extended rides. more is merrier.

Any new milestone is an accomplishment. Congrats on the metric. Next you'll be trying a 100-miler. (That's my tops. I have no desire to try a double.) Big congrats on the fundraising. I have type 2 diabetes. Money spent on research to find a cure is dear to my heart. Thank you!
